Why Trinnov makes a difference in a home cinema
A home cinema rarely sounds the way its loudspeakers could. The room colours, exaggerates, cancels out. Trinnov comes from professional studio technology and treats the problem as a measurement task: the Optimizer uses a purpose-built microphone with four capsules to capture not only the frequency response of each loudspeaker, but its position in space as well.
From that data the system corrects level, delay, phase and frequency response, and it can acoustically move loudspeakers that structural constraints forced into the wrong place. For a living room full of existing furniture, or a basement with awkward geometry, that is often the difference between decent and remarkable.

Third, in existing installations that are modernised step by step: the processor comes first, power amplifiers and loudspeakers follow later. That route works well because it spreads the budget and still makes an audible difference immediately.
What should be settled before planning
Most friction arises not at the unit but in the shell construction. Settling on a channel configuration early saves later arguments about cables laid after the fact. Agree with the client how many height channels the cinema should carry and whether the subwoofer section works with one unit or several.
The second point is where the processor goes: it needs space, ventilation and a network connection, because calibration and servicing run over the network. The third is the acoustics themselves. Measurement-based correction is powerful, but it does not replace absorption. Where the room is fundamentally wrong, the answer is acoustic treatment, not more processing power.
